Numbers showed that an impressive 47 per cent of Aberdeen residents have won £10 on the national lottery 10 times, and that one in 10 has won a mind-blowing £2,000 or more.
One fourth of Aberdeen’s locals also claim to have won over £300 at various card games. Online gambling also featured in the survey - 16 per cent are reported to win cash on a regular basis with online bingo, poker, roulette and other Internet gambling sites.
10% of Aberdonians claim to have a lucky ‘dabber’ (fat felt-tip pen) for playing Bingo, showing that sometimes luck needs a hand. In Chelmsford, second on the ‘lucky list’, two thirds of the residents have a lucky number that they rely on regularly.
Also high up on the list of UK’s luckiest cities were Sheffield, Newcastle, Plymouth and Manchester. Glasgow squeezed in at number 10, showing that the Scotts top and tail the Top 10 list.
